RAND Corp. Awarded $385M National Defense Research Services Contract


researchThe Washington Headquarters Services has awarded RAND Corp. a potential five-year, $384.8 million contract to provide support services to a U.S. Defense Department-funded research and development center.

DoD said Thursday the company will help perform analyses and studies at the National Defense Research Institute under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics sponsors the facility to conduct R&D work for the U.S. defense secretary,   Joint Chiefs of Staff, combatant commands and other DoD components.

Work will occur in Washington through Sept. 30, 2020, and WHS will obligate funds to RAND upon issuance of each task order.
