Northrop Realigns Businesses, Appoints Gloria Flach COO


northrop Grumman_BLUENorthrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) will restructure from four business segments to three, effective Jan. 1, in a move President and CEO Wes Bush said is aimed to align strategies with customer requirements.

On that date, Gloria Flach, corporate vice president and president of Northrop’s electronic systems sector, will assume the role of chief operating officer, the company said Wednesday.

The company will consolidate its electronic systems and information systems segments to form a new mission systems business organization that will be led by Kathy Warden and focus on the military and intelligence technology markets.

Chris Jones will lead a new technology services sector that will offer integrated services from the existing information systems and technical services businesses.

Northrop will also integrate its military and civil space hardware unit into the aerospace systems sector led by Tom Vice.

Additionally, the company will transfer electronic attack business operations from the aerospace sector to the future mission systems sector.
