The U.S. General Services Administration has started to request bids from industry for a new governmentwide building maintenance and operations services acquisition program.
The multiple-award BMO contract vehicle will have unrestricted and small business set-aside tracks and is part of GSA’s strategic sourcing efforts,  the agency said Wednesday
GSA plans to award contracts by geographic zone in an effort to encourage small businesses to participate in the BMO GWAC program.
The agency will initially implement the zonal contracting method in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia before it adds more zones during fiscal 2016.
Responses to the BMO Unrestricted and BMO Small Business RFPs are due Dec. 4.
