ManTech’s Rick Wagner Lays Out Cloud Utilization Challenge for IC

TYSONS CORNER, VA September 3, 2015 — Rick Wagner, recently appointed senior vice president and general manager of ManTech International’s (Nasdaq: MANT) advanced technical solutions business unit, has noted the need for intelligence agencies to take a closer look at how best to utilize the cloud to their advantage.

“The focus for the most part has been to establish the [cloud] infrastructure, ” he told ExecutiveBiz in an exclusive interview posted Tuesday, noting, “Cloud utilization is still below expectations in my opinion.”

“One challenging area that will be increasingly important will be the necessity to identify what makes sense to move into a cloud environment, what is better addressed in a different way and how to effectively integrate these elements of a hybrid infrastructure while sustaining critical operational capabilities, ” added Wagner.
