Lockheed Gets $431M Navy Supply Contract for F-35 Spares, Support Tools

F35Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) aeronautics business has received a potential seven-year, $430.9 million contract to provide the U.S. Navy with non-air vehicle spares and support tools for the preliminary production of F-35 Lightning II aircraft for domestic and international military clients.

The cost-plus-incentive-fee contract also covers simulators, supply chain management, software and hardware upgrades related to autonomic logistics data systems and engineering services for the joint strike fighter jets, the Defense Department said Monday.

The fixed-price-incentive-firm contract is comprised of orders from the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, non-Pentagon participants and foreign military customers for the fighter planes.

Lockheed will perform work through January 2022 in Florida, Texas, California, New York, South Carolina and the U.K.

The Naval Air Systems Command will obligate the full contract amount at the time of award from fiscal 2013 through 2015 aircraft procurement and foreign military sales funds.
