Aviall Services has received an $809, 660, 481 contract modification from the Defense Logistics Agency to produce additional spare parts for the U.S. Air Force’s J85 engines.
The contract amount is for the first option year and three option years, with a completion date of Sept. 29, 2018, the Defense Department said Monday.
The Boeing (NYSE: BA) subsidiary will manufacture the spare parts in Texas for the Air Force and Navy.
Aviall began the production of J85 spare parts in 2012 in partnership with GE Aviation.
