Army Taps HDR Architecture for $100M NGA Campus Construction Support Contract

constructionHDR Architecture has been awarded a potential seven-year, $100 million contract to design and build a new campus for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency as a replacement for NGA West’s 2nd street facility in St. Louis.

The Army Corps of Engineers awarded the indefinite-delivery, firm-fixed-price contract with options through competitive process with 11 bids received, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

NGA said it believes the construction of a new facility will be less costly and help it to better carry out national security missions such as providing precision targeting and GPS support to DoD and the intelligence community.

The agency is in the process of reviewing potential locations for the new NGA West campus in St. Louis.

The Corps will obligate funds and provide the performance location upon award of each task order and expects contract work to complete on Sept. 29, 2022, according to DoD.
