Navy Picks ViaSat, Data Link Solutions for MIDS-LVT Support


U.S. NavyThe U.S. Navy has awarded contracts worth a total of $880.8 million to ViaSat (Nasdaq: VSAT) and Data Link Solutions for the production and maintenance of the Multifunctional Information Distribution System Low Volume Terminal.

The Defense Department said Friday ViaSat will provide support under a $514.3 million contract while Data Link Solutions, a joint venture of BAE Systems and Rockwell Collins, will provide support for $366.5 million.

The companies will perform work in California, Iowa and New Jersey through Aug. 19, 2020.

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command is the contracting activity.
