Lockheed Set to Install Bennu Asteroid Mission Cameras for NASA


lockheed martinTYSONS CORNER, VA August 26, 2015 — Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) will start installing the camera system on the OSIRIS REx spacecraft it is building for NASA that is set to deploy for an asteroid mission next week, ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday.

The space agency said the OCAMS three-camera instrumentation will take pictures and map the topography of the Bennu near-Earth asteroid, data that NASA will use to help choose a site to collect samples.
