Dynetics Space Launch Booster Tester Undergoes Proof, Burst Tests


DyneticsTYSONS CORNER, VA August 14, 2015 — A Dynetics-built cryogenic tank to be used to test space launch system viability has undergone a series of proof and burst evaluations in Iuka, Mississippi, ExecutiveBiz reported Thursday.

Dynetics, prime contractor for the SLS Advanced Booster Engineering Demonstration and/or Risk Reduction tank, said Tuesday the test results met the company’s benchmarks.

“Our team continues to make significant progress on risk reduction activities for NASA’s Space Launch System and other future launch vehicles, ” said Dynetics CEO David King.

“We look forward to continuing to work on the ABEDRR project for NASA, as well as providing support to Boeing (NYSE: BA) on the core and upper stages of SLS.”
