Northrop Lands Mine Hunter Contract for Navy Helicopter Deployment


northrop Grumman_BLUETYSONS CORNER, VA July 21, 2015 — The Naval Sea Systems Command has contracted Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) to develop, fabricate, test and produce AN/AQS-24C mine hunting sonar systems for use on the MH-53E Sea Dragon helicopter, ExecutiveBiz reported Monday.

Majority of the work on the $14.8 million cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract will occur in Annapolis, Maryland, with a December 2016 expected delivery date, the Defense Department said Friday.
