Navy Picks 3 Firms for $63M Submarine Engineering Support IDIQ


Virginia class submarineThree companies have been awarded positions on a potential two-year, $63.4 million contract to provide technical support and engineering services for the U.S. Navy’s submarine fleet.

The multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a one-year base period and a 12-month option, the Defense Department said Thursday.

Awardees include:

  • AECOM (NYSE: ACM)
  • Alion Science and Technology
  • L-3 Unidyne

The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center awarded the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract through a competitive procurement process and will obligate $40, 000 in fiscal 2015 maintenance and operation funds at the time of award.

Sixty percent of work will occur in Norfolk, Virginia and the rest will occur in Connecticut, New Hampshire, Georgia, Washington, California, Hawaii and Guam.
