FireEye to Provide Threat Intell Cyber Training for State Govts

CybersecurityTYSONS CORNER, VA July 20, 2015 — FireEye will provide cyber training and technology to state governments under a threat intelligence sharing program in collaboration with the National Fusion Center Association, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

According to FireEye the partnership aims to mobilize technical support during critical cyber events and train intelligence analysts in the national and local levels.

“When you can rely on a solid combination of intelligence, technology and expertise, you stand a much better chance of identifying a breach before the worst can happen, ” Chad Holmes, chief security strategist for global government under FireEye’s office of the chief technology officer, said Thursday.

“As the cyber liaison officer for many of the state intelligence agencies across the country, I see firsthand how vital it is that disparate agencies share intelligence in critical cyber situations.”
