Wyle Laboratories Lands $1.44B Biomedical Research, Health Support Contract With NASA


Wyle logoWyle Laboratories has been awarded a potential 10-year, $1.44 billion contract to provide occupational health and biomedical research services for all spaceflight platforms at NASA’s Houston-based Johnson Space Center.

NASA said Wednesday the contract covers support for the space agency’s human health and performance directorate at Johnson, which oversees health and safety programs for crews onboard the International Space Station and staff at White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.

The contract has a base term of five years, three option years and an additional option period of two years and will commence in October.

Wyle will also carry out work for space-based operational medicine, environmental laboratory and space food management, behavioral sciences, biomedical engineering, spacecraft monitoring, hardware and payload integration, fabrication, flight hardware biomedical requirements, testing and design services.

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), Intelligent Automation, Anadarko, MEI Technologies, GeoControl Systems, Intuitive Machines, JES Tech, the University of Texas Medical Branch and University of Houston will partner with Wyle for the contract.
