TYSONS CORNER, VA July 13, 2015 — Casey Coleman, former GSA CIO and current group vice president for civilian agencies at Unisys, said industry has had a favorable response to the Government Services Administration’s Alliant 2 listening tour, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The one-on-one meetings have attracted over 300 companies interested in the upcoming governmentwide acquisition contract vehicle, according to FCW.

“In a forum like this, you can have a conversation about what the government is really trying to get to by way of an outcome and explore more cost-efficient ways to deliver those outcomes, ” Coleman told FCW.

“And we think that will result in better understanding on the part of industry of what the government is trying to achieve and, on the part of government, to do a more cost-effective procurement that is going to result in better outcomes.”

She added that it could be used as sort of a dialogue framework for industry discussions involving other large GWAC in the future.

“I certainly think this kind of model is replicable elsewhere and could be very beneficial in a lot of different situations, ” she said.
