TYSONS CORNER, VA June 24, 2015 — Tony Frazier, government solutions senior vice president at DigitalGlobe (NYSE: DGI), said the company has created an open source software toolkit that offers geospatial big data analytics designed to encourage data sharing among communities.

ExecutiveBiz reported Tuesday that the company launched the Hootenanny project in collaboration with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

“Our human geography product contains over 1.6 million [points of interests] aggregated across 1, 500 unique sources, ” Frazier, an inductee into Executive Mosaic’s Wash100 for 2015, said Monday.

“Hootenanny will help us more effectively fuse the data we extract from our imagery with other sources of publically available information.”
