Systems Made Simple has been selected to sustain the Department of Veterans Affairs’ caregiver application tracker in an effort to address the growing requirements of caregivers.

The CAT system works to provide resources to the caregivers who conduct in-home healthcare services for veterans through the caregiver support program, Systems Made Simple said.

The Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) subsidiary was also awarded a separate contract to help update the VA’s time and attendance system over the next two years.

Horace Blackman, vice president of health and life sciences at Lockheed, said the company would update the payroll operations support system in order to help VA employees, timekeepers, supervisors, station payroll administrators and staff perform their tasks.

“The VATAS program is a critical infrastructure for the VA’s payroll operations, ” added Blackman.
