SRA International has been awarded a potential seven-year, $85 million contract to provide information technology support services to the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

The company said Thursday it established a team and a strategy to help the energy-market regulator to manage the agency’s IT infrastructure.

Paul Nedzbala, executive vice president of SRA’s health and civil group, said the company seeks to build new IT systems for FERC to address efficiency and cost issues through the contract.

Work also covers program management, policy and administration, information security, operation and maintenance, systems engineering, and documents and registry services.

The contract contains a performance period of one base year and six option years.
