George Pedersen: ManTech Eyes Cyber, Homeland Security Markets With KCG Acquisition

ManTech International (Nasdaq: MANT) has acquired Reston,  Virginia-based cybersecurity advisory contractor Knowledge Consulting Group for an unspecified amount.

ManTech said Tuesday the acquisition will add approximately 200 cybersecurity professionals to the company’s mission, cyber and intelligence solutions group under the leadership of Bill Varner.

“[The] acquisition of KCG fits with our strategy of expanding into the growing cyber services and homeland security markets, ” said George Pedersen, ManTech chairman and CEO.

Some of KCG’s existing customers include the Justice Department and Department of Homeland Security.

ManTech noted that KCG is also an accredited Third-Party Assessment Organization for the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program.
