US Navy Awards $544M Software License Renewal BPA to Insight Public Sector


ContractInsight Public Sector has won a potential $543.72 million contract to renew the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps’ software assurance and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) software licenses.

The blanket purchase agreement covers a one-year base period and two one-year options, the Defense Department said Friday.

Insight Public Sector will perform the task in Tempe, Arizona, through May 31, 2016, and could extend work through 2018 if the Navy exercises all options.

The Navy received five proposals for the contract via General Services Administration Federal Supply Schedule 70.
