Triple-i Buys Cyber, Health-Focused IT Firm CCSi; Leo Phelan Comments

acquisitionInformation Innovators Inc. has acquired information technology contractor Creative Computing Solutions Inc. for an undisclosed sum in a push to grow in the cybersecurity and health services markets.

Triple-i said Tuesday CCSi is also an authorized third-party assessment organization for cloud service providers that seek to offer their products to federal agencies.

Rockville, Md.-based CCSi holds spots on governmentwide contract vehicles such as the Department of Homeland Security‘s potential seven-year, $22 billion EAGLE II program and the National Institutes of Health‘s CIO-SP3,  which is worth up to $20 billion over 10 years for all awardees.

The company is also a prime contractor on the Department of Veterans Affairs’ T4 vehicle and the Defense Department‘s TEAMS program.

Leo Phelan, general manager of Triple-i’s health solutions business, said the company made the transaction to build its presence in areas such as “clinical care design, informatics, research and analysis, education program design, health expert advisory services, program management, and infrastructure.”

“These are critical and compelling times for our government as they move toward a technological convergence, ” said Triple-i CEO Steve Ikirt.

SunTrust Robinson Humphrey acted as CCSi’s financial adviser for the transaction.
