TYSONS CORNER, VA May 4, 2015 — Executive Mosaic — GovCon Executive reported Friday on remarks by Tony Moraco, Science Application International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) CEO, urging innovators to create partnerships and take a “holistic view” of their technology products.

“A holistic view of an economic and practical solution will help your innovation succeed, ” Moraco, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2015,  told contestants at last week’s Northern Virginia Technology Council Destination Innovation event in Washington.

NVTC officials declared the 2015 winners of the competition following his speech, which also touched on target market choices and ways to deal with setbacks.

“It’s okay to be selective, don’t try to impress everybody, ” Moraco said, according to the council’s live tweets of the contest.

“You can’t be afraid to fail. Have a holistic view and focus on building a network of partners for a win-win proposition.”
