The U.S. Navy has awarded five small businesses spots on a five-year, $90 million contract to provide passive security barrier services to Defense Department facilities worldwide.DoD said Thursday the companies can compete for task orders on logistics support; installation, development and field supervision of marine facilities; and engineering, design, prototyping and testing of passive water barrier systems.
The chosen contractors are:
- Alutiiq Technical Services
- De La Fuente Construction
- Iyabak Construction
- Virtual Computing Technology
- Windy Bay Services
DoD said the obligated amount for the contract, which runs through May 2020, is $50, 000 from the Navy’s fiscal 2015 operation and maintenance contract funds.
The Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center at Port Hueneme is the contracting activity.
