Marc Arendt Joins Sevatec as BD, Cyber Services Senior Director; Burke Cox Comments

SevatecMarc Arendt, formerly director of business development for cybersecurity at Blue Canopy Group, has joined Sevatec as senior director of business development and cyber services.

Arendt helped Blue Canopy Group manage its cybersecurity consulting practice at the Treasury Department, Small Business Administration, Consumer Financial Protection Board and the Internal Revenue Service, Sevatec said Tuesday.

“Combined with our effective operating teams, his valuable knowledge and skill set will help expand our cybersecurity practice and protect the IT systems and sensitive information contained in federal IT solutions, ” said Burke Cox, president of Sevatec.

Arendt is also a former senior client executive at Verisign and held responsibility in cyber business development at the departments of Veterans Affairs, Treasury and Agriculture, as well as the National Archives and Records Administration.

Sevatec cited the 23-year federal sales, business development and management veteran’s experience in cybersecurity, cloud computing, enterprise software and infrastructure, unified networking and storage services and mobile technology.
