Boeing Extends P-8A Aircraft Training Support for US Navy, Australia

Boeing (NYSE: BA) has been awarded a $118, 148, 562 contract modification to keep training U.S. Navy and Australian air force crews on the P-8A maritime aircraft.

The company will supply and install two operational flight trainers, two weapons tactics trainers and upgrades for the training center for the Navy, the Defense Department said Monday.

Boeing will also install electronic classrooms, station desktop trainers and flight mission system trainers, as well as provide courseware, training and interim support for the Australian air force.

The Seattle, Washington-based company will perform work in Washington, Missouri and Edinburgh in Australia through June 2019.

Work for the Navy accounts for 78 percent of the contract price and Australia for 22 percent.
