The company said Wednesday the Naval Sea Systems Command tasked it to provide technical, training, program, business and financial management support as part of the contract.
“Every surface ship, whether recently commissioned or currently in-service, must be able to meet the country’s national security objectives, whether that means responding to threats or providing humanitarian support, ” said Rod Riddick, executive vice president of Alion.
The contract works to ensure that the ships are up-to-date and ready for operations, Alion said.
