Tony Encinias Joins Vion as Public Sector Strategy VP; Daniel Diltz Comments

Tony Encinias, former chief information officer of the state of Pennsylvania and a more than 20-year information technology veteran, has joined Vion Corp. as vice president of public sector strategy.

He will oversee the company’s efforts to build technology platforms intended to support IT modernization programs of government and other enterprise clients in his new position, Vion said Tuesday.

“Tony has helped government organizations of all types implement IT solutions that balance security, privacy and transparency, ” Daniel Diltz, VP of Vion’s public sector and commercial business.

Encinias also worked as Pennsylvania’s chief technology officer and helped implement a capacity-on-demand purchasing stategy for computing services as well as led a cybersecurity program to guard the state government’s systems against advanced persistent threats.

He also served as relational supply application program manager at the U.S. Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command and as deputy director of innovation within the Department of the Navy‘s e-business operations office.

He concluded his military service as a naval officer.
