Robert Leduc to Succeed Mick Maurer as President of UTC’s Sikorsky Biz; Gregory Hayes Comments

UTClogoRobert Leduc, a 35-year veteran at United Technologies (NYSE: UTX), has been named president of UTC’s Sikorsky Aircraft subsidiary.

He will succeed Mick Maurer, who has been appointed as UTC senior vice president of strategic projects, the company said Thursday.

Both Leduc and Maurer will report to Gregory Hayes, UTC president and CEO.

Leduc previously managed Boeing (NYSE: BA) programs, led Pratt & Whitney’s large commercial engines business and oversaw Hamilton Sundstrand’s space systems business.

“Throughout his career, Bob built strong customer relationships, executed complex development programs and ensured the successful entry-into-service of some of UTC’s biggest programs, including the Boeing 787 program, ” Hayes said.

Hayes added that Leduc would lead Sikorsky at present as president and as the company’s future CEO if UTC pushes through its consideration to spin off the helicopter manufacturing business.

Maurer and Mike Dumais, UTC SVP for strategic planning will work together to assess strategic alternatives for Sikorsky in case of a spinoff.
