Robert Gough Appointed as VP of Northrop Combat Avionics Systems Business

Robert Gough, formerly director of Northrop Grumman’s (NYSE: NOC) operations in the information systems communications division, has been named vice president of the combat avionics systems business within the company’s electronic systems sector.

He will oversee the sector’s combat avionics portfolio that comprises avionic sensor systems and radars for the F-16, F-22A and F-35 Lightning II aircraft, Northrop said Monday.

Gough was most recently responsible for the company’s programs, engineering, product lines, technology and various functions within the information systems communications division.

He previously served as director of Northrop Grumman’s communications, navigation and identification business within the information systems sector, where he oversaw the software-defined radio avionics subsystem and programs for the F-35 Lightning II and F-22 aircraft.

Gough also held various technical, functional and program leadership roles within Northrop’s satellite and avionics areas since joining the company in 1986.
