NASA Issues 9-Month Extension for Wyle’s Johnson Space Center Support Contract


Wyle logoWyle‘s integrated science and engineering group has received a nine-month, $97 million contract modification from NASA that extends the company’s support for the Johnson Space Center’s Human Health and Performance Directorate.

NASA said Tuesday the modification brings the contract’s total value to $1.5 billion and extends Wyle’s services through the end of January 2016.

The contract covers medical services, research, development of flight hardware and other technologies, engineering and operations support for NASA’s Human Research Program and International Space Station and Orion missions.

According to NASA, Wyle works to bolster the readiness of NASA facilities and the agency’s work on space medicine, habitability and human adaptation, among others.

The company will perform work at Johnson Space Center and Ellington Field in Texas and the White Sands Test Facility in New Mexico.

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT),  Bastion Technologies and MEI Technologies are subcontractors.
