CSC Sells Air Traffic Control Simulation Portfolio to Adacel


AirplaneComputer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) has sold its portfolio of NexSim air traffic control simulation products and service offerings to Adacel for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction gives Adacel full rights to the NexSim technology and associated source codes, Adacel said Wednesday.

Seth Brown, CEO of Adacel, said the company made the acquisition in a push to grow its offerings for the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration‘s Collegiate Training Initiative.

Orlando, Florida-based Adacel builds simulation, training, speech recognition and operational ATC systems for the aviation industry.
