NASA Taps HX5 Sierra for $363M Testing Facilities Support Contract


Space Launch SystemHX5 Sierra has been awarded a potential 10-year, $363 million contract to help run, engineer and maintain testing facilities at NASA‘s Glenn Research Center and Plum Brook Station in Ohio.

The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is effective June 1 and carries an initial value of $47.5 million, NASA said Friday.

A phase-in period will commence on April 1, the agency said.

Florida-based HX5 Sierra offers technical, engineering, manufacturing, development, operations, inspection, maintenance and certification services related to aeronautical and spaceflight testing programs.
