Leidos to Support Environmental Planning for Navy’s Aircraft Home-Basing Efforts


LeidosLogoLeidos (NYSE: LDOS) will provide design or architect engineering services to the U.S. Navy under a potential $50 million contract for the implementation of the National Environmental Policy Act and Executive Order 12114.

The Defense Department said Monday the company will support the preparation of environmental-planning documents for infrastructure-related actions in aircraft home-basing programs.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract includes analysis for the construction, renovation and demolition of airfield facilities and base realignment and closure, as well as environmental documentation on aircraft readiness and training.

DoD said the contract will cover the area of responsibility of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command – Atlantic and areas in North Africa, the Caribbean, Europe and the continental U.S., with the majority of work performed in Virginia, California, Florida and Washington.

The contract, which was awarded via the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website, runs through March 2020.
