CAE Reports 11% Rise in Both 3Q Revenue, Profit


CAECAE (NYSE: CAE) has announced financial results for the third quarter of its 2015 fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2014.

The Montreal-based aerospace and defense contractor said total revenue for the quarter grew 10.9 percent from the prior year period to $489.8 million and profit rose 11.1 percent year-over-year to $46.3 million.

Revenue in CAE’s defense and security segment was up 6.9 percent from the prior year period to $188.9 million and the company’s healthcare segment saw a 6.5 percent rise in revenue to $18.6 million.

CAE also reported a 14.1-percent year-over-year growth in revenue for its civil simulation and training segment.
