The U.S. federal subsidiary of Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has agreed to purchase Chantilly, Va.-based digital services provider Agilex for an undisclosed sum in an effort to expand offerings in analytics, cloud computing and mobility.Accenture Federal Services said Monday it also seeks to grow its agile delivery portfolio in the federal market through the acquisition.
“We see digital technologies fundamentally changing the way that government organizations operate and interact with citizens, patients, employees, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders, †said Mike Sutcliff, chief executive of Accenture’s digital group.
Agilex, a 2014 Greater Washington Government Contractor of the Year awardee, works on information technology requirements and agile development methodologies with agencies such as the departments of Commerce, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs.
