Tetra Tech Awarded $216M to Help USAID Promote Gender Equality in Afghanistan


TetraTechLogoThe U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded Tetra Tech (NASDAQ: TTEK) a potential $216 million to help the agency launch a gender equity campaign to empower Afghan women.

Tetra Tech said Monday the initial task order has a $42 million value and calls for the company to support USAID’s efforts to develop female leaders across the public and private sectors in Afghanistan.

USAID and the company will also work to help young Afghan women build leadership and management skills through the Promoting Gender Equity in National Priority Programs Project.

The program could get up to $200 million in additional donor funds, according to Tetra Tech.
