Lee Aber Named ID.me Security, Risk Management VP


CybersecurityLee Aber, a former director at cloud software firm Opower, has joined ID.me as vice president of security and risk management at the McLean, Virginia-based digital identity verification services company.

The 20-year industry veteran will oversee incident response, security, vulnerability management and compliance programs in his new position, ID.me said Monday.

Aber most recently oversaw Opower’s information security offerings intended to help utilities protect intellectual property and customer information.

He has also held a technical director role at ICF International (NASDAQ: ICFI), where he led support work for several federal information assurance initiatives.

He has also worked at Motorola, FishNet Security, Winternals Software, Interliant and the U.S. Defense Department.

He is a member of the National Board of Information Security Examiners and the Education Advisory Board of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
