Hilton Romanski: Cisco to Buy Neohapsis in IT Security Market Push


CybersecurityCisco (Nasdaq: CSCO) has agreed to purchase Neohapsis in a bid to help organizations manage data security risks and meet information technology compliance goals.

Cisco expects to close the transaction in the second quarter of the company’s 2015 fiscal year, Hilton Romanski, head of business development at Cisco, wrote in a blog post published Wednesday.

Neophasis will operate under Cisco’s security services business, led by Bryan Palma, once the deal completes.

Chicago-based Neophasis works with enterprise customers to help develop risk management and compliance strategies as well as secure their cloud and mobile applications.
