CenturyLink Buys Disaster Recovery Provider DataGardens


acquisitionCenturyLink (NYSE: CTL) has acquired DataGardens, a provider of disaster recovery services, for an undisclosed amount in an effort to grow its cloud-based and on-premise offerings, Forbes reported Monday.

Ben Kepes writes CenturyLink began to incorporate DataGardens into its cloud products and services in early 2014 and the acquisition wraps up that partnership.

DataGardens was established in 2009 and has been providing cloud-to-cloud disaster recovery products, according to the report.

The company has access to a network of service providers that use or resell DataGardens’ products,  Kepes reports.
