BAE to Support USS Bataan Dry-Docking Planned Maintenance Availability


USS BataanBAE Systems‘ Norfolk Ship Repair segment will perform dry-docking planned maintenance availability services through November 2015 on the U.S. Navy‘s USS Bataan (LHD-5) ship under a $115 million contract modification.

The Defense Department said Wednesday BAE will carry out depot-level maintenance, modifications and capability updates as part of USS Bataan’s fiscal 2015 DPMA.

The Navy has provided the obligated amount of $28.7 million from its 2015 operations and maintenance funds.

Norfolk Ship Support Activity is the contracting authority on the program.
