HHS plans for the center to work as focal point for child welfare services and consultation services for state and territorial child welfare agencies, ICF said Monday.
The contract contains a one-year base period of performance and four option years.
“ICF has the depth and organizational experience needed to support CB as it transitions to a more strategic and evidence-informed approach designed to better achieve safety, permanency and well-being outcomes for children, youth and families, “Â said Mike Torpy, a vice president at ICF.
HHS’ administration for children and families within the department’s Children’s Bureau intends to provide training and technical assistance to state and local agencies, which are subject to federal requirements for national child welfare policy implementation.
