Michael Ruppert, formerly co-founder and managing partner of advisory firm RSPartners LLC, has joined Mercury Systems (NASDAQ: MRCY) as senior vice president of strategy and corporate development.
He will report to President and CEO Mark Aslett and be responsible for the company’s strategy, planning and mergers and acquisitions activities,  Mercury Systems said Monday.
“Michael’s in-depth knowledge and experience with M&A in the aerospace and defense industries will make him an invaluable member of Mercury’s senior leadership team, ” said Aslett.
Ruppert previously served as managing director at UBS Securities, with responsibility in the firm’s defense and government information technology programs between 2011 and 2013.
The 15-year investment banking veteran also held positions focused on aerospace and defense M&As at Lehman Brothers and Lazard.
