Revenue for the McLean, Virginia-based satellite services contractor rose 7 percent to $107.5 million from the prior-year quarter and profit increased approximately 22.9 percent to $20.4 million.
The company’s government services revenue increased 14 percent to $16 million and Iridium attributed the uptick in part to its airtime services contract with the Defense Department.
Sixty-one percent of the company’s revenue for the quarter came from commercial customers, Iridium said.
