Booz Allen to Build GSA Open Source Cloud Tool for Contract Mgmt


cloudITBooz Allen Hamilton (NYSE :BAH) has been awarded a five-year, $64.5 million contract to build an open source cloud computing platform platform for the General Services Administration‘s Federal Acquisition Service to manage acquisitions for agencies and contractors.

The FAS’ office of integrated award environment sought a single, common services platform based in the cloud and with open source code to use across all phases of acquisition lifecycles, Booz Allen said Thursday.

Booz Allen will design, develop, implement and operate the platform for the office and will also build applications with functions for hosting, search, database, data storage, reports, visualization, identity and access management and application programming interface management.
