Navy Orders $251M in Raytheon Tomahawks for US, UK Forces


Raytheon logoRaytheon (NYSE: RTN) will deliver a total of 231 Tomahawk Block IV All-Up-Round missiles by August 2016 to the U.S. Navy under a $251.1 million contract.

The Defense Department said Wednesday the company will provide 147 vertical launch systems and 64 capsule launch systems to the U.S. Navy for $224.5 million.

A $26.6 million foreign military sales portion of the contract covers 20 torpedo tube launch systems for the U.K.

Contract work will occur in domestic and international locations such as Arizona, Arkansas, Utah and Glenrothes in Scotland.
