Stephen Layfield, a retired major general from the U.S. Army, has joined X2 Biosystems as president of the company’s government and industrial division.
Howard Green, X2 Biosystems’ CEO, said Tuesday that Layfield will be responsible for the divisionâs growth and profitability strategies.
âHis depth of knowledge and experience will be a true asset in driving adoption of X2 Biosystems’ technology within the military and industrial communities, â added Green.
Layfield, a 30-plus-year veteran in training and command, most recently led the training systems investment and development efforts for U.S. joint forces.
Layfield also served as director of DoDâs senior leader development and educational program and oversaw military operations in the Middle East, Bosnia, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Afghanistan.
Seattle-based X2 Biosystems makes software and sensors that work to detect and help treat traumatic brain injuries.
