Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) has received a $240.6 million contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to deliver three Block 30M RQ-4B Global Hawk aircraft fitted with the company’s Enhanced Integrated Sensor Suite and Airborne Signals Intelligence Payload. The award also covers two extra retrofit kits for the ASIP sensors and brings the contract’s total cumulative face value to $354, 870, 536, the Defense Departmentposted Friday. DoD expects Northrop to complete work on the contract by the end of June 2017. The Block 30 Global Hawk unmanned aircraft is equipped with sensors for imaging and electronic signals and is used in intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
