CybersecurityIdentity management tools provider XTec has received a 10-year, $102.8 million contract from the Department of Homeland Security to support its Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 and Federal Identity, Credential and Access Management programs.

The company will provide its Enterprise AuthentX 5 Suite to manage access to DHS resources and applications for 250, 000 access cardholders together with its partner Deloitte, XTec said Thursday.

“Putting this newest iteration of our solution to work for DHS’ 10-year vision of HSPD-12 and FICAM marks a significant step forward, ” said Albert Fernandez, XTec president and CEO.

XTec said the initial phase of the contract covers the issuance and maintenance of personal identity verification credentials before these are extended to further DHS applications in the next phases.

Executive Vice President Kevin Kozlowski said the company has provided identity authentication support to DHS since 2008.
