Alion Science and Technology Corp. will develop anti-submarine warfare simulated training systems under a $24 million contract with the U.S. Navy‘s air warfare center training systems division.The company will work to design and maintain computer-based Live, Virtual, Constructive Modeling and Simulation Anti-Submarine Warfare Virtual At-Sea Training systems for anti-access area-denial and cyber warfare training, Alion said Wednesday.
“We are excited to assist the Navy in developing low-cost, high-fidelity training systems, solutions that are designed to support integrated training for both tactical and engineering personnel, †said Terri Spoonhour, Alion senior vice president and distributed simulation group manager.
“Under this five-year contract, Alion will continue to deliver innovative training solutions as we did under the LVCMS ASW VAST’s predecessor contract, the mission rehearsal tactical team trainer, ” added Spoonhour.
Alion also built the P-3 aircrew tactical team trainer, virtual maintenance performance aid and common distributed mission training station.
