Alion ScienceAlion Science and Technology Corp. will develop anti-submarine warfare simulated training systems under a $24 million contract with the U.S. Navy‘s air warfare center training systems division.

The company will work to design and maintain computer-based Live, Virtual, Constructive Modeling and Simulation Anti-Submarine Warfare Virtual At-Sea Training systems for anti-access area-denial and cyber warfare training, Alion said Wednesday.

“We are excited to assist the Navy in developing low-cost, high-fidelity training systems, solutions that are designed to support integrated training for both tactical and engineering personnel, ” said Terri Spoonhour, Alion senior vice president and distributed simulation group manager.

“Under this five-year contract, Alion will continue to deliver innovative training solutions as we did under the LVCMS ASW VAST’s predecessor contract, the mission rehearsal tactical team trainer, ” added Spoonhour.

Alion also built the P-3 aircrew tactical team trainer, virtual maintenance performance aid and common distributed mission training station.
