Terri Cooper, a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP, has been appointed to lead Deloitte’s federal health sector.
Cooper will succeed Principal Kelvin Womack, who will remain as client service lead within Deloitte’s provider sector practice and as national managing principal for diversity, Deloitte said Thursday.
“With deep experience in the life sciences industry, her background is a tremendous asset for Deloitte’s federal health clients as they look to develop new and innovative operating models and improve outcomes and efficiency, †said Janet Foutty, a principal at Deloitte Consulting LLP and federal practice lead.
Cooper also works as the lead client service partner for the National Institutes of Health and most recently served as national leader of Deloitte’s life sciences research and development practice.
The 20-plus-year healthcare life sciences industry veteran previously worked for eight years within the pharmaceutical industry, where she had involvement in basic research, clinical development, regulatory affairs, sales and marketing.
Cooper is also the national chief inclusion leader for Deloitte Consulting LLP, where she oversees the practice’s Women’s Initiative, diversity and flexibility programs.
